Enjoy Cowboy Too-Tall as he walks the rodeo grounds Friday night.  Also plenty of clown and juggling near the Midway area.

This year featuring a new outdoor stage along with a covered and cooled spectator area to make every event a pleasure to watch.

August 5, 2010
5:30 pm - Bad Weather Band:  This group of talented musicians stems from a rich heritage of good ole music.  With local talents of Kirk Williams, toby Morgas and other, you won't want to miss it.
7:00 pm - 40 Days Band:  Local musicians spin their unique blend of music that is sure to make you tap your toes and sing along to 40 music.  Get your seat early for this preshow event.
9:00 pm - Jagertown:  One of the fastest chart gaining bands in the nation, this country crossover band is making its mark on the country music scene.  With thousands of CD's sold you will have the chance to see them live before their next tour.  CD BABY says "Jagertown is one of the most exciting and unique bands to hit the country music scene, they keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more and will someday become part of country music history," this will be one of the best concerts of this year's fair.

10:00 am - Dance Sensations:  This Local Dance troop is one you will want to see.  Local youth perform amazing dance and acrobatic routines.
Noon - Sam Payne Singer:  The son of popular LDS actor Marvin Payne, Sam's performance of his original jazz-inflected folk music has turned the heads of critics and audiences around the west.  Payne's arresting stage presence, his craft as a poet/storyteller, and his soaring tenor voice have established him as an enduring and engaging performer; the songwriter's songwriter.
1:30 pm - Artificial Rewards Band:  This band consists of members of the New Reflections Program based in Tooele.  Come check out this performance as it will be sure to leave an impression on your mind.
2:00 pm - The Yo Yo Man: This top notch act hit's the main stage of entertainment for all ages, Dale Myrberg has entertained countless audiences all over the world.  As the winner of countless awards and championships he is the real deal, you won't want to miss a minute.
3:00 pm - CEO Band: The CEO Band is a Classic Rock Band.  They play many rock tunes, as well as write and record their own original songs.  They have a 4 Piece Band Lead Guitar Harmonica Rhythm Bass and The Craziest Drummer around 60's 70's 80's top 40!
4:00 pm - Hair Nation:  If you like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Poison, Motley Crus, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Ratt, Great White, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns n roses and anything else 80's that rocks!  This is the band you'll want to see.  They look and dress the part and will take you back to the 80's.
5:00 pm - Zany & Joe Clown Circus Suit Case:  Bringing smiles to people of all ages, their hilarious antics will bring the house down with laughter and great feats of juggling that will amaze everyone.
6:00 pm - Kodi Lee Musical Prodigious Savant and the Chillbodi's:  The goal of this band was to have Kodi share his passion for music with young adults more his age.  And as luck had it they found some amazing young boys from the local high school that were willing to take on the challenge!  Kodi and his band members have been performing for the past 2 years  they have truly built an amazing connection.  Not only does Kodi help the boys with their music, the boys have helped Kodi with socialization, friendship and a caring environment - making Kodi feel like just "one of the guys!"  Come see this amazing group of young men.
7:00 pm - Brad Bosen "Ven-Tooele-Quist,":  This local performer makes small friends and special props come to life with amazing voices that leave you wondering where they are coming from.  This is the funniest show you'll see all year.
8:00 pm Shaun Dee Hypnohick: " I am the Fastest Hypnotist in the West.  Currently I possess the most successful hypnosis show in Utah."  Shaun has performed all over the west hypnotizing and entertaining thousands.  Come see how good the show can be, you could be in the show.
9:00 pm - Artie Hemphil and the Iron Horse Band:  Hold on to your hats and hang on tight, cuz you're in for the ride of your life!  The Iron Horse Band is playing at the Tooele County Fair,.  This a high energy quartet of amazingly talented musicians who perform with two goals in mind; play awesome music and have a great time doing it!  Once you get an ear full of Artie Hemphill & The Iron Horse Band you'll be a fan for life.  But hey, if this group can't hook your trout...nothing will!

10:00 am - Jazz In It:  Tooele's oldest dance and performing troop hit's the fair grounds to entertain each and every one of you.  This performing troop under the direction of susan Trujillo will keep you in awe throughout their amazing performance.
11:00 am - Tooele Valley Highlanders:  If you like a Bagpipe and Drum band this is the act for you.  Come enjoy their special blend of music as this local group of musicians take the center stage.
Noon - Tooele County Fair Karaoke Contest:  It's Utah's favorite Karaoke Contest and one of the largest in the United States.  The Tooele County Fair Karaoke Contest shows off some of the best singing talent from all over the State in all age groups.  Great prizes, a professional sound stage and great crowds have made this the contest to enter.  Crowd favorite Ron Baum and his Dead End Alley Team will be on hand to make everyone feel like a star.  Don't delay, sign up early as slots fill up fast.  Call (435) 882-3584 for details.
8:00 pm - Old Man Garage Band:  This fantastic band of local musicians will play all the retro hits you loved on the radio and rock n' roll.  Come early to get your seat as they are sure to pack the big top.
9:00 pm - Michael J & The Might Cash Cats:  The Mighty Cash Cats fast paced high energy show takes the audience on a musical journey from Johnny's 1950's Sun Studio Rockabilly hits, to his hits of the 1960's, 1970's 1980's that we all know and love, to his Rick Ruben produced "American Recordings" Grammy winners of the 1990's and 2000's including fun Johnny and June Carter duets with Michael J and Leticia Blumette on tunes like "Jackson".  Michael J embodies Johnny Cash in both voice and look and Leticia does a spot on June Carter.

You can enter this old-fashioned fair competition at the stage, or just stand back and watch.  Cash prizes and lots of pie for the contestants.
6:00 pm Pharming Isn't Phun (with GGC preview)
Julie Spindler, local expert on the prescription drug abuse problem, will present facts on the Rx drug problem in Tooele County and offer advice on identifying, preventing, reporting, and treating prescription abuse.
7:00 pm Cupcake Craze! by Utah State University Extension
Cupcakes are all the craze right now! Come learn how to make 2-3 different cupcakes.  Hands-on fun! Free and open to all ages.
8:00 pm Minute to Win It
Sponsored by the YES program.  Open to anyone brave enough.  Prizes awarded for all ages and contestants.
9:00 pm Rock Band Competition
Sponsored by 4-H Mentoring.  Bring your pretend band or find some band mates at the Fair.  Then compete in this Wii competition for fun and prizes.

10:00 am Babysitting Tips and Kits
Especially for young people who tend little ones.  Presented by Candy Wilson of the Tooele Family Center.
11:00 am The TRUE Housewives of Tooele County
Unlike the show on TV, for this contest no acrylic or silicone is required, just good old-fashioned homemaking skills.  Open to women over 18.  Grand prize is a Kitchen Aid Mixer.  Sponsored by Utah State University Extension.  To compete, call 435-277-2400 or come 15 minutes before the contest.
Noon Easy and Affordable Family Dinners (with GGC preview)

3:00 pm 4-H Go GREEN: Shoe Revival Contest
Anyone can turn an old shoe into a work of art.  Learn about Recycle/Reuse/Reduce.  Shoes and supplies provided.  Prizes will be awarded.

Hey kids! Make your own Chia pet and watch it grow.  This is one pet your mom will let you keep.
Noon Summer Fun Story and Craft with Tooele City Library
Malissa will read a summer story and everyone will get to make a craft to take home.

Wade Matthews will present some things you can do right now to prepare yourself and your family for the unexpected disaster.
